Lent at KC

Lent begins at KC by observing two important traditions; Pancakes were prepared by students and sold on Shrove Tuesday to raise funds for our EduKid Peru project and today, Ash Wednesday, Rev Alison Walker led a reflective service of Holy Communion for all students and staff, including the opportunity to receive the sign of the cross in ash on the forehead or hand.
Lent is the 40 days of preparation for Easter. In this time, we are encouraged to pray, to give generously to those in need, and to fast by giving up something we will miss and using that as a prompt to reflect on what we truly need to live. At KC we welcome students of all faiths and none and encourage all students to live through our school values of respect, openness, curiosity, humility and kindness.
