International Baccalaureate
Together our students achieved an outstanding diploma average score for the fourth year running of 38.5 points, about 8 points above the world average. This score places Kent College amongst the top IB schools in the UK again this year.
When translated into UCAS (university entrance) points is similar to the number of points awarded for straight A*/ As at A level. 5 students achieved over 40 points, including Emily Waters and Sophia Shrestha with an outstanding 45 points.
Over 165,000 students from 144 countries took the IB Diploma last year. The IB’s outlook is invaluable, instilling in our young people the capacity to understand and prosper in our global community. The IB Diploma, the global gold standard of education, will enable our students to proceed to the world’s best universities and go on to make a valuable contribution to society.


A Levels
Over half of our students this year achieved all A* - A grades while 77% of A level students have achieved A* - B grades.
This reflects our consistently strong A level performance over the last 5 years and the hard work and commitment of our students and staff. Our leavers have again been accepted in some of the best universities in the world including University College London, Imperial College London, Exeter University and universities in Europe and the USA. 48% of our students gained access to Russell group universities which represent the best 24 universities in the UK. They are reading courses as diverse as Theoretical Physics, Law, Medicine and Environment and Ecology to Architecture and Music.
GCSE
Nearly half of our students achieved A grades (the equivalent of grades 7 - 9 in the new system) and the overall pass rate was 100%.
99% of students achieved 5 GCSEs at 4-9 (the equivalent of A*-C). We are delighted that so many of our students are carrying on with their Sixth Form studies.
Destinations
Our leavers have again been accepted in some of the best universities in the world. 48% of our students gained access to Russell group universities which represent 24 world-class universities in the UK which
include University College London, Imperial College London, Exeter University, Durham University and Oxford and Cambridge. Students have also been accepted at universities in Europe and the USA.
The success of Kent College students means they will access courses across a wide range of subjects, including specialist Music, Drama and Art courses, Architecture, Law, Economics, Sports Science and
Physiotherapy, Mathematics, Business, Theoretical Physics, Psychology, Politics, Finance, English Literature, Product Design, Media and Film, Pharmacy, Environmental Science, Veterinary Science, Chemistry and
Biomedical Science.
