When it is hot during the summer term the Head Master may declare ‘Summer Rig’ as defined below.
- Jackets do not need to be worn
- Shirts must still have all the buttons done up
- Ties must be properly tied
- Shirt sleeves may be rolled up to the elbows
- Girls may wear either socks or tights
- Anklets may not be worn
- School uniform shoes should be worn – not sandals
- Boys in Years 7-11 will require rugby boots/football boots, cross-trainers for outdoor use, trainers with non-marking soles for use indoors and astro-trainers for use on the Astroturf
- Girls in Years 7-11 will require cross-trainers for outdoor use, trainers with non-marking soles for use indoors and astro-trainers for use on the Astroturf
- All pupils in the Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13) will require cross-trainers for outdoor use, trainers with non-marking soles for use indoors and astro-trainers for use on the Astroturf but may also require other footwear dependent upon their chosen sports
- The white Kent College Performance polo shirt is part of the compulsory sports kit for all Senior School pupils.
- The House polo shirts relate to the Senior School competitive houses (not the boarding houses). New pupils can purchase these at the start of term once they are allocated to a House via the Playerlayer Website.
The House ties are for boys only and can be purchased from the School reception desk once the Houses are allocated at the start of term.
Yes, Senior girls wear House badges on their blazers. They can be purchased once Houses are allocated at the start of term from reception.
Yes, for Years 7 & 8.
No, but there is a generous 2” hem which can easily be adjusted to a longer length.
