Welcome to Kent College Senior School

The school is situated in a semi-rural setting, overlooking the historic city of Canterbury. From day one all pupils are made to feel part of the Kent College family and this nurturing atmosphere extends from the boarding house to the classroom. It helps pupils to build a strong work ethic, and to develop the confidence to excel in their chosen fields.

Something for Everyone

With over 26 acres of playing fields on site, we are able to provide our students with ample room for sports training to regional and national standard. Additionally we host over 60 clubs at lunch times and after lessons, from yoga to engineering or our choral society to Duke of Edinburgh.

Great teachers

Attention to the individual is the key to academic success at Kent College. Small class sizes mean that teachers are able to get to know each pupil, to assess their needs and to monitor their progress closely. We provide additional study clinics for students at lunch time and after school to support their individual learning plans. Exceptional Boarding

Boarders make up a third of the school with all the boarding houses situated centrally on the school campus. Every child is given personal attention and supervision. New arrivals are given help to settle into their new home and fully integrated into the daily life of the school at all times with House Parents live in the Boarding Houses and are available to support each student.

Riding and Farming

The school is sited on an 80 acre campus and has its own working Farm and Riding Arena.
Students can have riding lessons or join our Young Farmers Club to get hands on experience of showing and working with the livestock.

Individual Progress

We have an exceptionally broad curriculum that facilitates a vast range of interests and skills to be exercised. The key to our results success is the individual approach we take to building a bespoke timetable for students at GCSE, or in the Sixth Form with International Baccalaureate, A Levels and Cambridge Technicals.

Culture of Care

We provide an unfailingly supportive community that produces considerate and generous pupils who lead by example. Every child is given personal attention and supervision to ensure they feel secure and confidant and able to benefit from the excellent tuition and support that is made available.

Dyslexia Support

The Dyslexia Support Centre is a haven of help for those amongst the school intake that need extra support. Students are taught all the mechanisms that they need to access the whole curriculum.

Progression

We pride ourselves on being able to provide a personalised learning experience, where we can organise the curriculum to suit the child.
