What's Included In The School Fees?
The following are included in the Standard Fee: Activities which form part of the curriculum Books and stationery supporting the curriculum and most materials required for Art and CDT Career profiling, a professional assessment designed to quantify the skills and aptitudes of pupils in Years 11 and 12 and provide detailed guidance regarding future careers and university courses Exam fees for entering the first sitting of external examinations associated with main timetabled classes e.g. GCSEs, AS and A Levels, IB Breakfast, Evening Meal and snacks for boarding pupils Personal accident insurance for pupils All bedding and internal laundry services for boarders Trips which are designated by the school to be obligatory in support of the curriculum e.g. Science and Technology Week, theatre visits, and geography field trips: and costs associated with representing the school in designated sports fixtures and events. A contribution will be required for residential trips. Lunch is compulsory for all pupils but is charged separately at the rates shown above. If paying termly, payment of fees is due by the first day of each term, as printed on the fees invoice and in your signed parent contract. Fees can also be paid in instalments by direct debit. The school’s preferred method of payment is by direct debit. Fees can also be paid in advance via composition fees, which includes a small discount. * In some circumstances, deposits for non-EU boarding places may total a full year’s fees. The Deposit is payable when a place is accepted and is non-returnable should the place subsequently not be taken up. It is returnable otherwise at the end of a pupil’s career, less any outstanding charges.

SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES, AND REMISSIONS

Scholarships and Bursaries	Scholarships and bursaries are available at the Senior School only. The percentage fee reduction awarded will be applied to the day tuition fee only. The total fee paid by parents/carers consists of a tuition fee and a facilities fee. Full details are available on request from the Bursar, or via the link below.
Sibling Allowance	When three or more siblings from the same family are attending Kent College simultaneously, the following remissions may be granted: - Third Sibling: 20% remission - Fourth and additional Sibling: 40% remission This remission is given in respect of the youngest child/children. Sibling remission does not apply to children until they enter Reception year.
Armed Forces Allowance	Personnel who are eligible for the Boarding School Allowance are entitled to a 10% remission on tuition fees from the school and up to a maximum of a further 80% from the armed forces.
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)	Children of Officers of the Foreign Commonwealth Office may be eligible to a reduction in Boarding fees. Please contact us to discuss.
Methodist Ministers' Allowance (MMA)	Children of Methodist Ministers are entitled to a 10% MMA.

NOTICE REQUIREMENTS

Notice Requirements Notice to withdraw your child from the School.
Notice to withdraw your child from the School. If you wish to withdraw your child from the School you must either give us a term's notice or pay to the School fees in lieu of notice. Those fees in lieu of notice will be charged at the rate for the term that would have been the final term of your child’s education, had you given a term’s notice (and not the rate for the term when you gave notice). For example, if you wish to withdraw your child with effect from the start of the autumn term then you would either need to tell us in writing on or before the first day of the preceding summer term or pay fees in lieu of notice (at the rate applicable for the autumn term).

This notice applies at all transition points across the College, i.e. from:

Pre-Reception to Reception
Year 6 to Year 7
Year 11 to Year 12

Notice to change your child's place at the School. If you wish to change your child's place at the School from a boarding to a day place or from a termly to a weekly boarding place you must either give a term's notice or pay to the School the difference between the School Fees for a boarding or termly boarding place and the School Fees for a day or weekly boarding place as fees in lieu of notice, and at such rate as would have been charged for the final term of boarding
if a term's notice had been given (and not the rate for the term when you gave notice). All other boarding-related changes, for example changing your child’s place from a day place to a boarding place (either temporarily or full time), require the School’s prior written consent.
