The Programme:
Our programme offers comprehensive training. Tailored for ambitious individuals aspiring to excel as outstanding teachers, the Inspired programme encompasses:
- Year 1: Focused on building essential classroom experience, refining pedagogical approaches, and acquiring knowledge through classroom teaching and observations.
- Year 2: Participants undertake a fully funded, PGCE. This year involves a greater teaching timetable and added responsibilities, aimed at honing teaching skills and leadership potential
- Years 3 + 4: Upon completion of the second year, participants achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and transition to a two-year Early Career Teacher (ECT) Framework, advancing to the Kent College qualified teacher pay scale with progressive salary enhancement.
Throughout the four-year period, continuous mentorship is provided, with opportunities for participants to assume roles of responsibility within the college.

Our middle leadership development programme at Kent College aims to nurture high-quality leaders for the school's future. We welcome aspiring middle leaders from both academic and pastoral backgrounds, encouraging them to explore, challenge, and reflect on their learning.
Participants, who are early in their middle leadership journey and deeply committed to personal and school growth, can choose between academic and pastoral pathways.
Core modules include:
- Leadership in a values based culture.
- Navigating Change and Proactive Leadership.
- Leadership Coaching.
Academic pathway modules include teaching and student learning, assessment, and tracking, while pastoral pathway modules cover wellbeing, compliance, communication and mental health.
The modules entail:
- Leadership in a values based culture: Dive into the core values and vision that shape our school community, exploring how they influence decision-making and guide our actions toward a common purpose
- Navigating change and proactive leadership: Equip yourself with the skills to navigate transitions and lead with confidence, learning how to inspire others and drive positive change within our dynamic educational landscape
