WHY CHOOSE KC?
"A place where children feel good about themselves."
Located in the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury, our school is proud both of its 140 years of history and tradition, and of its forward-looking, innovative approach to education.
‘Do all the good you can’ is a guiding principle, and one that allows pupils to grow and develop into confident young adults, aware of their responsibilities and their place in the world.
Kent College is a co-educational school that welcomes students from all backgrounds and over 40 different countries. With 800 students we are large enough for us to be able to offer a wide range of choice both academically and in co-curricular activities but small enough that we still know every child really well.
Children can join our Nursery from 3 months old and progress into the Junior School situated in Harbledown, at the age of 3. In the Senior School, age 11 to 18, boarders make up around a third of the student community.
Kent College has a reputation as a friendly school. It is most definitely a place where teachers really get to know the pupils, and have the time and space to give individual attention, both academically and pastorally. While it is a non-selective school, our students consistently achieve excellent academic results at GCSE, A Level, and in the International Baccalaureate.
Sport, Music and Drama all play a major role in our school life and offer opportunities for everyone, from beginners to elite level performers.
