Easter celebration assembly

EASTER CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY

This spring term has been a huge success for our students in a plethora of areas- from academic to creative and sporting. Here at KC, we believe students deserve recognition for all their successes and like to take the opportunity to celebrate them whenever we can. 

This term we asked the student body to nominate students who they believed embodied our school values. The following students won: 

• FJ............................ Kindness and Respect 
• Oscar.......................Kindness 
• Omid.......................Kindness 
• Angela.....................Kindness 
• Kylie........................Ambition 

We have also seen some outstanding academic achievements throughout the term with special mentions to Agostino, Arthur, and Lily who achieved the most house points as sixth formers, and our year 8 Science team Josh, Leo, River, Saskia, Tsz, and Esther who won the Faraday science challenge earlier in the term. We would also like to commend both our lower and upper school winning teams for their participation in the Michael Weller Rotary Club public speaking competition. 

Focusing now on Maths, we would like to congratulate Vinson and Cameron for being the best in their year groups of year 10 and 11 respectively, and Omid for achieving Best in the school and competing in the Cayley Olympiad.  

Moving swiftly from academic brilliance to musical talent, this term we saw both Hunter and Irmak achieve their post Grade 8 ABRSM diplomas and had a multitude of students accomplishing different Grades. Congratulations to Anais for receiving her Grade 8 in singing and Emily for receiving Grade 8 in both Piano and Flute. We would like to recognise the students Freya (oboe) and Cameron (piano) for achieving Grade 7, Alyssa (flute), Martha (recorder) and Rebecca (singing) for Garde 6, Fabian (drums) Louis (saxophone) and Thomas (viola) for Grade 5, Poppy (piano), Hesther(singing), Toby (saxophone) and Rebecca (oboe) for Grade 4, Charles (oboe) Max (singing), Gregory (Guitar), Francesca (singing) and Omid (Clarinet) for Grade 3, Matilda, Dorothy and Mia (all signing) and Houze (Violin) for Grade 2 and Erin (guitar) and Freya (drums) for Grade 1. 

Following on from the huge Musical talent showcased and commended this term we would like to congratulate

On receiving their LAMDA certificates.  

Moving now onto our sporting champions! We awarded the following students for their prowess in the field: 

Junior Girls Netball: Dani, Zara and Bethany 

Junior Boys Hockey: Dominic and Caelan 

Senior boys' hockey: Charlie 

Senior Basketball: Kendis and Lewis 

Archery: Will and Charlotte 

A huge well done to all our KC community on all their hard work and achievement through this Spring term!
