£1,657 RAISED FOR EAST KENT MIND
We are proud to share that we have raised £1,657.24 in support of East Kent Mind, a local charity dedicated to promoting positive mental health and providing vital support, advice and services across our community.
We are proud to be the first secondary school in the area to launch the Student Mental Health Ambassador initiative in partnership with East Kent Mind. We now have 23 trained Student Mental Health Ambassadors, representing all year groups, who have received dedicated training from East Kent Mind to help promote positive mental health and wellbeing across the school.
A huge thank you goes to our Wellbeing Prefects, Millie, Hamza and Isabella, whose commitment led to the success of a range of fundraising events, including ticketed shows, matches and raffles. Their hard work has made a truly meaningful impact.
Simon Dolby, Development Lead at East Kent Mind and a Kent College alumnus, said:
"The charity is enormously grateful to the students and staff at Kent College for supporting our mental health work in the local community. It is vital we tackle stigma surrounding mental health and encourage positive conversations around wellbeing. This donation will help us to achieve that goal."
